Productivity Level: Orange

Mar 02, 2005 02:52

And we welcome in March with snow and freezing temperatures.

End of the night (or some might say early morning) reflections on my productivity level today... and maybe a look at allllll the stuff that still needs to be done.

Productive Things I Did Today:

1. I got up before ten
2. Before noon, I read a long act in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
3. Sam and I went tanning between noon and one
4. Sam and I went to Hudson Health so she could get a drug test done for her parents and so I could see my doctor about my arthritis meds and another physical therapy referral, and while I was there he made me get blood tests to make sure my meds aren't hurting my liver or kidneys (ughhhh)
5. While waiting f-o-r-e-v-e-r at Hudson, I read my entire assignment for the week for my Shakespeare class
6. Had dinner (that counts as productive!)
7. Finished reading As You Like It (which was actually supposed to be done last week)
8. Answered a discussion question on Blackboard for my Shakespeare class
9. Wrote one of the two papers for my Shakespeare class, both due Friday
10. Wrote a paragraph on a discussion question for my Soc Theory class that's due tomorrow
11. Read articles on feminist criticism in literature and "The Dead" for my English class
12. Wrote assignment for above
13. Started preparing notes for the other Shakespeare paper due this week
14. Paid March bills (online)

Whew. Looking at it in a list like that makes me feel even more productive, although I really wasn't quite as productive today as I was yesterday. It's obvious that I'm trying to busy myself into the ground so as not to think, but it's working out well and I'm not going to argue.

I have to get up at like 7:30 in the morning to move my car. This was Sam's brilliant idea. I don't even have class til 1! But if I get up that early, I can get lots done. Hopefully before 10 I can have already moved my car, showered, and gotten a load of laundry started. Then I can work on schoolwork until 12, and then tanning and then class and then HOME.

Two weeks left in the quarter. I have a lot to do but I think it's doable... barely, but I think I'm going to get it done regardless. I wish I could stay here this weekend or next- the only two weekends left before spring break, because I could get so much more done, but I can't. I have to work both weeks Thursday and Friday, if nothing else. I definitely need the money.

Alright. 3am again, I need to try to sleep if Sam's going to wake me up at the asscrack of dawn.

Goodnight.
