Aoi was lying on his empty bed, no bedsheets yet, with the mattress scratching uncomfortably against a patch of bare skin where his shirt riled up. He was looking outside, up at the greyish blue sky and shady clouds. He could hear a faint knock on the door, but didn't bother to get up. He preferred lying still, with one hand on his middle, looking past his blind-less window.

He heard a key winding its way. Someone entering his new apartment. The apartment he had to move into because he needed an extra room now. An apartment closer to park and farer away from heavy roads.

Then, a blond head, smiling brightly, peeked his head into his bedroom.

"Hi Aoi, I let myself in, I hope you don't mind." He stepped inside the room.

The other guitarist turned his head to look at him. What a nice leather jacket, what fine, tight jeans he wore and what about the heavy perfume? He was up to something.

"Hi." Aoi responded, suddenly realizing his throat was quite dry. "What brings you here?"

"You, of course." Uruha answered, smiling. "Your land line isn't connected yet, right? Kai tried to call you and when you didn't pick up your mobile phone either, so he asked me to drop by. It's just some lyrics Ruki wrote for one of your songs he wants you to go through, looking if the syllables match the rhythm or... Well, you know." He pulled out a folded paper from his handbag and stepped closer to the unmoving man to put it down on the still empty nightstand. "And I was wondering if you still had some of my shirts, but you didn't unpack yet, as I see."

"Take it all, this time." His view wandered back to the sky.

"Are you still mad?" Uruha probed, but didn't get any reaction. Only Aoi's thump seemed to move, caressing his already showing womb. "Look, Aoi, it didn't work. If we have to try this hard to be comfortable around each other, we're not meant to be." The grip on his handbag's chord tightened.

"Is it because I cheated on you?"

Uruha opened and closed his mouth, not sure if you should say what came into his mind first. He did. "It's not like we've been an official couple, Aoi, I don't consider it cheating."

The fingers fanned, his hand covering as much as it could. "Is it because I'm pregnant?"

"What? No, Aoi, no. It's just-"

"Because he is pregnant, too?" His voice had an anxious tone, cutting into Uruha.

"No. I just don't love you."

A gruff laugh. "What do you know about love."

Uruha scratched his upper arm, feeling scrutinized even though the other wasn't even facing him. "Well-"

"You're not even looking for it, are you." Aoi turned onto his side and pulled up one leg.

The blond thought for a moment. The dark haired man was obviously feeling lonely, but it wasn't his place to comfort him. "Have you tried calling Ni~ya?"

"You know nothing about love, Uruha."

It hurt, though. "Maybe that's the way to find it, being unbiased and not expecting anything."

There was no response again for a while. All Aoi did was petting his belly.

"I'm alone, you know." He said eventually.

Uruha, no matter if the dark haired could see him or not, smiled cheeringly. "You're not alone, you have us, the band, we are-"

"Just friends."
