So nothing super new to update except that next weekend, the 29th-31st will be Sac Anime and while that's great it also sucks. It's on Labor Day Weekend which was either supposed to be spent with Dan's family in Bakersfield Sunday or with my family... now it's going to be me by myself since I have a table that weekend. Not sure how much I'll get since it's supposed to be a small con but hopefully it'll still be somewhat profitable. But yeah I'm a little bummed. I think you guys should come visit me that weekend; keep me company at the con and in Sac in general =P
So yeah for anyone interested, go to
sacanime.com It's 25 I think for the weekend if you pre-reg and $20 for Saturday alone (wtf?) so uh yeah...weird stuff. I won't be selling anything new unfortunately -no time and no $$. I'm not even very ready at all right now because work has just been sapping my energy and my time.
School starts next week and we'll see how that goes. I am still waitlisted #6 for my Human Anatomy class that I really want/need to take so everyone cross your fingers! I'm a little concerned though how I am going to work and do class at the same time. It wouldn't be a problem if 1- I was part time and 2- I wasn't the only one in the office running things. I hate to disappoint the Doctor and his family and lose a good relationship as well as a good job but I am starting to think about how I may need to quit if he doesn't let me do part time or something. But we'll see how September-October goes. Maybe it won't be too bad depending on how busy things are anyway. But yeah...I'm kind of dreading it >_<
I have to say I REALLY REALLY REALLY miss having the time/energy to draw and do cards. I am falling behind on a commission and am seriously going to be productive this weekend. I am going to clean AND work on my art and stuffs. REALLY. Starting this week I gotta put my magnets together and what not so that'll help put me in the groove I hope.
Nothing like having the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Artbook and Rayearth Artbook1 to help inspire me- Ah Clamp how ridiculous you are with your pretty flowing everything =P
Ok enough blabbing - I think I had more to say but I'm at work and shouldn't even be posting (shhhhh!)
Wallpapers
So my work desktop is running Windows 2000 ... and as a result the wallpapers SUCK. I know there is a gazillion out there and since I'm too indecisive, what are YOUR favorite backgrounds? Remember it must be Work-Safe! Non-anime/cartoon/show/movie/etc- related. Has to be conservative and appropriate for an office. I'm leaning toward either really pretty abstract or something related to nature. I think I have some pictures I've taken that I could use but uh, dunno where they are ^^;
And BB! If you're reading this: UPDATE YOUR LJ!!!
EDIT-A Tale of Three Robins: Wow these people nearly killed me; someone on dA made this doodle
"Captured Robin" and amidst the praises were some really ridiculous comments (you can scroll down through he comments yourself and look-you'll see where I put in my 2 cents)
#1 person- Who is Tim Drake? (*dies)
#2 person - Batman had numerous Robins and Tim was the original identity (O.O WHA?)
#3 person - Batman had 2 Robins, Tim Drake was the 2nd (we're getting warmer here but uh still NOT right)
#4 person - Tim Drake becomes "Red Mask" and becomes psycho (first off it's Red Hood and 2nd it wasn't Tim Drake - poor Tim... )
Seriously I nearly died reading these comments.
