On Valentine's Card Sales, School, and random stuff
So, first let's have some good news.
Valentine's Card Sales - From holding 1 workshop (with Dan's mom) and selling 22 cards and 2 mini gift containers, I made about $77. I have to say that feels pretty damn good. I sold 7 cards alone to Dan's sister-in-law and 8 more to her friend. That was a bulk of the earnings right there. And Liz, Dan's sister-in-law, has been kind enough to offer her house for future workshops (and she may have the connections so people will actually come). I'd prefer to host myself since I dont' want to be a burden but my apartment is not suited for such things - and it's not just cause it's a war zone, it's just not as convenient and presentable in general I think.
Anyway I'm definitely going to get into this whole workshop thing more and Liz and I are going to make a workshop for kids for Mother's Day and another for Father's Day making gifts and cards. It's going to be pretty big and pretty fun I think and not to mention, INSANE. Because crafts + kids is almost always messy and can get...chaotic, for better or for worse.
In addition to the whole workshop stuff, I think I am going to become a Stampin' Up demonstrator. It's normally $200+ to get the start-up kit (worth $350 in craft and marketing/tips supplies) but it's on sale for $180+ and I get a free stamp set on top of that. The catch is I have to sell $300 worth of stuff every 3 months. Luckily when I start I'll have 4 months to do it at first. Sadly I don't know people who'd actually buy the stuff to help me make $300 in sales because it kinda caters to (white) rich women. And I won't really be making a lot. Stampin' Up stuff is decently priced and is great quality but still too much for a poor college student (yea for ebay! although not all things can be found on there unfortunately). But I'd have more of an excuse to do something I enjoy and it'd force me to get more crafty and what not. It just sucks that this is happening at a very inopportune time - I have no $$ and I am ridiculously behind in preparing for Fanime.
School - Big Exam on Thursday. I am going to DIE. The lab part really scares the shit out of me and it frustrates me that I have to go through all of this again when I already suffered through crap at Davis. Stupid counselor. But seriously, it's bad enough I have to do Anatomy all over again, but I have to do Physiology too and it's very different from Davis - not in a good way. I HATE Physiology. So yeah this isn't going too well. And let me tell you class from 5:45-10:30pm (really it's more like 5pm-11pm) Tues/Thurs SUCKS ass.

Fanime What do you guys think if I sell magnets of Zuko (like the print I sold last year). They're about 4x5 magnets I think... and maybe a Katara one? And how much would you be willing to pay for one? If I ever finish my Deathnote idea I might make a set for that but 4x5 might be too teeny. I need to learn how to make keychains... and maybe even make designs for cute buttons - those apparently sell well in general.
I have more to say but this is long enough and I need to get back to studying.
