So I had a very busy week this week actually. I don't really want to get into everything since I've talked about the major stuff in my last post. I know the interview panel said it would be 2-3 weeks before I heard either way about the job, but I'm just too super excited and nervous. I wanna find out now!! Then again I'm used to it taking this long when the county is involved. I applied for the job I have now in November of 2006 and didn't actually get an interview till March 2007 and didn't start till May 2007 so that just gives you a idea of how long it tends to take. I just wanna know either way. Of course, I'm still checking around for back ups, but so far nothing. I have this dumb, lengthy scavenger hunt dealie I have to do for homework all this weekend. I'm bored just thinking about it. I forgot how nice it was not having to deal with school, even if it's online. I know it sucks, but I need my masters to actually get the position I want so I just need to stick it out for the next year and a half and get it done. I guess I'm in a bad mood this morning cause of what happened about 6 horus ago. The trio finished recording our second episode! Soooo much fun and in the end it went on for over 2 hours!!! Strange thing is it didn't feel like 2 hours! The file was so big we even had to underline it. It took audacity about a half hour to export it as an mp3 so we got some Sheridan's in the mean time. Anyways, I knew a lot of it was gonna get cut. The first 5 minutes is just us quoting the Office pretty much which there is nothing better. We did Emmy predictions which most of will be cut in the beginning. We pretty much did every category from the Best Drama Series to Best Directing of a Musical or Variety Show. In the end, most of the stuff about the mini-series' and variety shows will be cut just because we didn't really watch too much of those and it would probably bore people to death. I'm keeping in the categories we were able to really discuss and debate just to keep the flow going. Anyways, I got home and of course I wasn't tired cause I'm still in my not-sleeping-before-1am phase. I figured, hey why not start editing the podcast. Good idea!! So I'm editing it and adding in the music and the new transitions as I go along and yes the transitions are and will be mostly clips from The Office since
www.whatsthescuttlebutt.com make it so much easier than other shows. Anywho, I had gotten the first part of the show nearly finished and actually cut down to a normal length once I took out what need to be cut like Matt's McAfree update on his computer, when low and behold, audacity gets tired and decides to crash on me. At 1:30am. Before I can save all the work I did. Needless to say, I have to start from scratch and re-edit everything again. I'm always so big on saving my work like every second I can, but for some reason I didn't do it last night. I'm gonna work really hard all day tomorrow to get the whole thing put together and out Saturday night, Sunday morning at the latest so our listeners have it before the Emmy's air. So yeah, that did not put me in a good mood and then I get the normal 20 q's when I was rushing to get to work way earlier than I needed to be. The visit I got to work so early for was cancelled. On top of that, I can't make it to the Pirate Party so I am all sorts of cranky today. I'm gonna have to watch Pysch and Dead Like Me to get myself in a better mood. I am giving blood tomorrow and that always tends to make me feel better, in the sense of I'm helping people out since my blood type is the rarest of the rare and can be given to infants as well. Still hate the way I feel during and after. I'm expecting to walk into Spike while I'm there sometimes. Buffy update: a little over halfway through season 5. I really need to push on cause I really want to get to that damn musical episode and finish the series so Matt doesn't have to hold back anymore for fear of spoiling me. If anyone spoils me in the comments I'll.....well I think the icon says it all. Speaking of which, I snagged it from
jeaxra . Love that scene. That is all!
