the internet ate my brain
I just got the internet. Yayness.
So here's an update of what I've been doing while I haven't had the internet...
School:
School blows, of course. It's not all that bad this semester, but it's still school so it's not great either. I have 3 art history courses (Baroque + Rococo, Women + Art, American Art) 2 days a week and the other days I'm busy making a giant condom in sculpture. Weeeeee!!
Work:
Just started training at Friday's. I'm psyched cos the new dress code policy says we can decorate the uniform shirts however we want as long as it's appropriate and washable. We can also wear any hat with a brim, including cowboy hats. We are also allowed a few small facial piercings, so that makes me especially happy. Most of my coworkers seem cool. Some of them are raging idiots and I hope they drop dead and I get their shifts.
Home:
The apartment rocks. It has been cleaned. That Thing is no longer with us, but he was making a mess... The first time that I hung out with Ray, one of my roommates, we found a 6-foot tall piece of modern art on the side of the road in someone's trash. So, we did the logical thing and trash-picked it and brought it home. It was somewhere between a figurative and phallic object, painted in mostly black and white designs with the head being all kinds of fun colors. So we put my lime green cowboy hat on it, tied a confederate flag around its neck, stuck a fork in its head, and put a biohazard sticker on it. We named it That Thing so when someone came in the door and said "What the fuck is That Thing?" we could say "Oh look, you guessed its name!" Cos we're easily amused. My roommates are awesome and lots of fun. I heart them.
Life:
Everything has been pretty decent lately. I've met some cool new people from living here and through my classes. I have my car back. This past week was kinda craptastic. I went to the ER a few days ago at 1:30AM cos I was in a shitload of pain. I had a kidney stone and a bladder infection since I'm totally awesome so I of course had to get both at the same time. But at least it was pretty entertaining. Cos I'm a sicko and I find these things funny.
Romance:
Pat makes me happy. I <3 him. He's been awesome and took me out to find a job before I had my car back and takes me to school and brings me flowers when I'm sick and cranberry juice when it hurts me to pee so that it won't hurt me to pee anymore and just generally rocks my world. He's great. :)

HIGHLIGHT of SEPTEMBER:
Pat took me to see OUR LADY PEACE at the Trocadero in Philly on September 21st. Anyone who knows me knows how much that made my entire life. I <3 them. So much. I'll write an entire entry about that show later. Cos I'm a doofus and I'm obsessed and it made my lifetime to finally see them live.
