2004 went by so fast. It felt like 2003's aftermath...

Most Dissappointing Album: Eminem's Encore, Gwen Stefani's "L.A.M.B.", The song selection on the NOFX Greatest Hits.
Song of the Year: "America, Fuck Yeah!" by DVDA from the Team America OST
Best Live show: Green Day preform the entire "American Idiot" album Live @ the pheonix, to less than 3000 stoked fans.
The "Next Big Thing" Prediction for 2005: The Game - Documentary (G-Unit + Dre + Compton = Suburban White Kids Loving it)
Looking forward to: 12 new NOFX 7"s, Outkast -"10 the hard way", New Alkaline Trio, CKY - "The Butchers Hand", BNO - "Trainwreck", New Reggie and the Full Effect, New (and Apparently very different) ataris.

Top 10 Films
1. Kill Bill vol. 2
2. Big Fish (it got it's full release after the new year, so it counts. Count it!)
3. Team America: World Police
4. Fahrenheit 9/11
5. Napoleon Dynamite
6. Shaun of the Dead
7. Garden State
8. Supersize Me
9. End of the Century: The Ramones
10. The Incredibles

Most Disappointing Film: Saw
Best older movie I only recently saw: The Sleepaway Camp series. (one of those "so bad it's good" things...)
Most Anticipated Film of 2004: Sin City

Television discovery of the year: The Office. (*so* good.)
Most Anticipated TV: New Chapelle show, the Ricky Garvais episode of the simpsons, Or those 2 girls making out or whatever on the OC (if your into that).

Website of the year: www.homestarrunner.com

Man of the year: Billie Joe Armstrong - for masterminding the album of Green Day's career, and quite possibly my favorite album of all time.

Woman of the Year: Mandy Moore (for having zero talent and an annoying personality, but still STILL being the apple of my eye)

People who shouldn't be famous: Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, anyone from american Idol. Rich kareoke singers aren't interesting or deserving of that much attention. Fuck "Young Hollywood".

Stupidest Trend of the year: Mindless celebrities telling everyone to vote. Alot of people were out there doing some good (punkvoter, vote for change) but People who are dumb enough to follow what Ashton Kutcher or Ashlee Simpson says need their hand held and need to be told specifically WHO to vote for and why. Telling them it's cool to vote (or alternately, that they will infact "die", if they do not participate) isn't enough.

You all should be killed instantly award: Republicans.

The "Jumped the shark" award for played-out-ness: Cell Phones. What exactly happened in the last 5 years that made everyone absolutely convinced that they not only need one, but need to talk on it all the time? If somethings that important, throw a quarter in a payphone, if you just need to talk about cute boys, save it till you get home, and don't do it in my ear while on the bus. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Remember that. Thanks.

Jumping the shark: LiveJournal. (yea, I went there)

Next Year's style: Probably just stupider looking, more expensive versions of whats worn today. Like how much more ridiculous can you gen than those nightie style loooong white t-shirts guys wear? or how absolutely everyone has to have a hood made out of fake fur on their jackets? or having streaks in your hair that just makes it look like you rolled around in shit? or Ugg boots? Yikes.

Gadget of the Year: the Lappy. and hhwhitey. (I give all my new toys "PeeWee's Playhouse style names)

False Advertising of the Year: Saw being a good movie. The Trailers were amazing! also, the porn that me and mark noticed being sold at a conveinience store that was called "Black Orgies" and had one white girl sucking one white dick pictured on the cover. I'm guessing whoever buys that is going to be disappointed.

Worst Event: Bush re-election.

weirdest event: Gettin' Rich, bitch.

Second weirdest event: Having all these strangers dig my "snapshots from an ideal future" post.

Dearly Departed: My Great-Aunt Grace, Eddie the Bird, Johnny Ramone, Russell Jones (AKA Ol' Dirty Bastard, Dirt McGirt, etc.), Rick James, Ray Charles, Thousands of people in southeast asia, Big Brother Magazine. (and probably a score of people I'm forgetting)

Most Highly Anticipated Activity: tourin' w/ FCC-Unit, travelling to: Montreal (check!), New York City, Berkley/San Francisco and Las Vegas this year.

biggest accomplishment: Releasing the first FCC release was pretty dope.

lesson learned of the year: to stop worrying and just see where life takes you sometimes.

Goals for 2005: Tour with FCC. Continue to write the best album ever. Drink my life away. become a more prolific writer. Have my revenge on cupid.

I'll leave you with a picture, for your collections....

Peace Bitches!!
