Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

So I cracked today and had a small diet soda with my lunch. It was because I forgot to pack my lunch last night and I am seriously dragging ass today and my only caffeinated teas are not appealing to me this afternoon. Yogi Tea Blueberry Slim Life has a freaky aftertaste that's starting to weird me out, and Lipton Island Mango & Peach White Tea smells AMAZING, but is kind of bitter. So the hunt for the perfect tea continues.

Anyhoo, I'm choosing not to feel bad about the pop because it's the first cup I've had (not counting the Diet Cherry 7Up I mixed with alcohol on Friendsgiving) in like, two weeks? I'm pretty amazed with myself. I'm definitely feeling fitter and healthier lately.

Speaking of Friendsgiving, it was AWESOME. For all my turkey dread, our bird turned out awesome. Although not gonna lie, sticking my hand up that turkey's butt to remove the gizzards/neck was definitely not one of the highlights of my life. I ended up using my mother-in-law's roaster, since my husband was all "noooooo can't tie up the oven all day" but whatever.

He was actually amazed by how brown the turkey was after cooking. What I didn't tell him was that everyone showed up about two hours before the bird was done and halfway through our second bottle of wine I was all "LET'S BASTE THIS FUCKER" about every five minutes.

PS: I am supposed to be at a story-planning meeting right now but I am blowing it off in favor of LJing and looking for Christmas gifts online. Hardcore!

PPS: I actually tried Earl Grey tea the other night and goddamn was it disgusting. It tastes like something brewed from the weeds and shit we pull out of the quad's grill after cavorting through an open field.
