I have been writing this storry for quite a while now.. and I would like to share it with the world..

{no name for the book yet}
CHAPTER ONE..

The night air was always cooler than the breeze of the day time ridge where
Father preferred me to spend my time. I never listened, I planned never to.
I galloped across the plains at a steady beat of my hooves on the delicious
spring grass. Air rushed past my ears and went on to tangle my hair. Life
was good, the moon shown my path as i galloped, no one could control me
(no matter how hard my father tried), and i showed it with pride. As the great
Libathain says himself, "no great conjurer is truly great with out their knowledge
And confidence to which no control is over them." this meaning that a great
ruler is great from their thinking of control. I believed the deeded poet to be
quiet true in all his words.

Libaithain cordinail, what a great man. I had met him, only once, spoke to him on his
personal accord. He believed me to be a "social butterfly". With the confused and half
angry look on my face he went on to explain that many a young filly looked up to me,
In addition, that even with the power thirsty father, who seemed the kind of man with a daughter
afraid to even speak, that I acted as though my father's words of orders were like a
mouse squeaking under my foot. At the time i didn't understand what he meant, but with time
I did, but sadly to late. Libaithain died at the great age of one hundred and seventy three.
I have strained to be more like him. My mother always said i had good reason to. She fancied
Libaithain (what man did she not). Ever since she was as young as I was. She could make
any man do whatever she asked of them. I admired that quality, i doubt I could ever learn
this trick but i wish i could. However, at my age, I didn't need to trick a man into something tricky.

I wasn't too young or to old for it to seem strange that I lived with my father. Though I lived
with my mother after her divorce with my father, I now lived with my father ever since my
brother ran to live with our mother. Sonny, my brother, hated father and didn't want to take
the thrown with Ed, our dad, breathing down his neck. Only eight years old and he already
hated his own father. You can get a picture of what the great king of our nation is like, the
Mustinian nation.

All of these thoughts swirled in my head as the light dust clouded behind me and I turned to go back home. Surprisingly, Sierra had not come
that night to escort me back to the palace. I looked up to the sky to see if his eagle silhouette
was flying overhead. No sign, anywhere. What could be wrong? With a worried conscience I
galloped to the golden palace engraved into the mountains, marking our grand territory. The
guards new me well enough to know when i was in urgency, they let the gate up silently and
I galloped through. Through the main hallway, up the hidden stairs, through the garden, and
under the great oddess plant was where my father's quarters lay. I crept down the narrow stairway
into the massive master bedroom. The entire room followed a deep red theme with red satin
sheets and pillows along with the trim and paint on the walls, white clothes were strewed from
the dresser ,which still stood open, to the bed where an impression from a heavy trunk lay.
My heart jumped, he ran. Where? and why? there was no absolute reason for my father to run
of all people.

Something was up, i knew it in my heart. I raced up the stairway to merge to a swan and flew up
to the second floor and into the guard base.

"Where is Sierra?" I demanded storming in while shifting to my human self, "Well, where is he?"
The young guards stopped what chores they were up to and looked to each other as
if not knowing how to say something.

"Madam," one of the middle management guards bowed continuing his story, " Sierra just left for
you, on the other side of the palace, maim."

"Thank you.", I rushed from my lips as spun on my heels to fly through the door turning back into my
swan form. Where were you Sierra? I flew in desperation to my room on the fourth floor. I flung the
doors open. I rushed to Sierra, hugging his neck.
"Where the hell were you?", Sierra ordered shoving me to stand for attention.
"Where do you think I.."
"It doesn't matter, your here now."
"Well, I suppose I am but.."
"Go to your room and get your favorite things."
"But Sei.."
"Go now! We must hurry!", He cut me off turning to plan something at the
table with the other.
I flew to my room, a little confused, and not as fast as i had to find Sierra. My
favorite violet blue dress and all of my family jewelry filled my bag. I reached
under my bed and held the silver key tenderly in my hand, placed it into my
pocket, and went to pack my much more comfortable skirts, and blouses.
"Are you ready yet?!", Sierra called from the other side of the red door.
"Yes!", I coughed lightly lifting the large bag to my hip. Sierra stepped in and
retrieved the bag from my grip.
"Come we must make haste!" He hurried me out the door and down the stairs
where a company was waiting at the gate.
"What's going.." I began to question, only to be cut off by Sierra again. It was
very rude to interrupt a royal family member even once, he had done so twice
now.
"Change to horse form, the company will take care of your bags. I will be ahead
scouting. At the human civilization cross point you will be ridden by a small
boy to..."
"RIDDEN?! RIDDEN?! I'M GOING TO BE RIDDEN?! You know as well as I do
that there is no way that I will allow anything remotely close to a human, even
in human form, ride upon my back! Are you..."
"I know this is a lot to handle, Midnight! But believe me, I would not have
planned if it were not most needed! Now hurry up and get in your position
NOW!"
I handed my bags to a guard and took my place among the company. Sierra
sent a friendly but stern smile as he took his place at the head of the company to begin
march.
"Company, charge!", he called as they bolted forward. I easily caught up from
my confusion. Charge? Why was there such an urgency for haste? I would find
out soon enough.

Chapter 2

Once again it was night. I lay in my animal form staring up at the midnight twilight past the blue rock. A rock fell to my left, I sat up and looked. Sierra stand leaning against the rock staring out at the beautiful horizon.
"The Courgain army, was sighted not even ten miles away from the castle. I imagine they are tearing apart the castle as we speak." I gasped at the thought and looked pathetically in the direction that my beloved home lay. "We had to move you father right away. I knew you would be out, and instead of chasing you down, I had some guards keep an eye on you while I arranged plans for you and your father."
"My father? Is he alright? Where was he sent? Will he be with me?.."
"He is fine, I cannot tell you where we placed him, but he will not be around you. However, if something is to happen to him…" He turned around and knelt to my side, "You will be the new Mustinian Queen…"
I took his hand and looked into my oldest friend's eyes, "If that is to happen, I will wipe the face of my fathers destructive rule off of the Mustinian history. I shall tie the binds my father has cut, and make our nation happy once again. And you must be the one to help me." He looked down and shook his head in understanding nature. "But I doubt that something should happen to him, should he act in his polite manner. Should my father retreat to his usual habits, he will be found by the Courgains. And what is to happen to him then, I do not know."
"Sleep for now, princess, we wake for the cross point in the morning." He stood and looked down upon me.
"Good night, Seirra."
"Good night, Starria." With that he turned and flew up into the night. I looked after him making sure he had left until I was to make my move.
