CHAPTER EIGHT
Yamada stayed standing on the balcony and breathed for the fresh air. He smiled to his self and looked up at the blue sky. It felt so good to sometimes relax in that little way. He had not done that in a long time for he let his self hold unto the stressful things happenings in his life.
“My life’s getting messy,” he said as he looked at the vast green trees that cooled his eyes and system. When Takaki left him, he was heartbroken, desperate and had nothing to wish for but for the guy to come back in his life. Then Yuto came, that very mysterious guy that now he had started to like. Sure the guy hurt him with those words he said about Takaki but he accepted that it must have been because Yuto cared for him. Now, Johnny keeps on insisting that he should marry Hikaru. Of course he would say “No”. There was only one guy he wanted to be a part of his life forever and that would be Yuto.
“Messy indeed,” he whispered as he sighed and scratched his head.
“What’s messy?” A sudden voice on his back asked him.
Yamada felt as though his heart jumped to his throat because of surprise. “Yuto! Don’t scare me like that!” He exclaimed, widening his eyes as he looked at the naughty skinny guy whose eyes was glinting with amusement].
“You shout when you’d be woken up from your sleep, now you’re easily startled. I wonder how much more things from you will amuse me, Yama-chan.” Yuto said as he smiled, handing a card.
Rolling his eyes, Yamada grabbed the card being handed to him. “What’s this?” He asked as he opened it.
Yuto just smiled. “You’ll know after you read it.”
Yamada read it aloud. “Yama-chan, please be there in the restaurant that we both went to after we met in the cemetery that time. I have something important to say.” He raised his brows while looking at the other guy that seemed very much excited. “Why don’t you just tell me about it now?” He asked again.
“Nu-uh, I’m just going to tell you later. Please be there at 6, okay?” Yuto said as he winked then started walking away.
Yamada was left with a sigh but he silently smiled inside. I wonder what he’s going to tell me. Hmm…

Holding his breath, Yamada bit his lower lip then came inside the said restaurant. He looked around to search for Yuto but the guy wasn’t there. He walked to the table in the corner and sat there. Maybe Yuto would be late. He pouted with his thought for he hates it when someone makes him wait.
Five minutes had passed and still no Yuto came. Then a waiter came to him, handing a card that was the same as the one Yuto handed him a while ago.
“Excuse me, Sir. This is for you.” The waiter said with a smile.
He nodded and smiled back, getting the card. As the waiter walked away, he then opened it and read. “Yama-chan, I know you must be on the restaurant now. You should move to the Kitagawa residence. -Yuto. ^^v”
Yamada blew the bangs on his face as he was done reading it. Going here in the restaurant was just like nothing. And he waited for minutes. He rolled his eyes then stood up. He had no choice now but to look for the Kitagawa residence.
But the creep, the peace sign in his letter was really cute he couldn’t help but smile.
Walking to his car, Yamada told the driver to look for the Kitagawa residence and go there instead. He rested for in the back seat as he waited to arrive there.
---
Yamada had to blink as they came to the Kitagawa residence. Sure the Yamada mansion was wide and huge enough but the Kitagawa residence was almost as big as it is. Well, as expected from Johnny. He knew he was that kind of an old man, a shrewd one.
He pushed the doorbell once and the huge gate automatically opened. He came inside to see a guard waiting for him and handing him a card. He bit his lower lip and muttered to his mind. “Not again…” Giving a half-hearted smile, he got the card and read it.
“Yama-chan, you are for sure in the Kitagawa residence now, right? Would you mind to go to my own place? - Yuto”
Heaving a sigh, he went out from the place and headed to his car and once again, told his driver to head for Yuto’s place. Surprisingly, the driver looked as though he knew the places they were supposed to go. He shrugged the thought off and swore that he was going to kill Yuto later.
---
Coming in a cozy white house, Yamada let his eyes roam around the place. The place looked so warm and it was as though it was waiting for him. It was nothing compared to their family’s mansion but it was still a good one.
He needed not to guess for in the white door, he saw a card that was hung in there. He then got it and read.
“Did you find my place cozy? Then, head to the favorite place you want to be and you’ll know the thing I want to say to you. This is going to be the last. Please be there.
PS: I’ll be waiting. In your favorite place. ♥”
Yamada knotted his forehead as he read the letter. His favorite place? What is it? He isn’t into going to some place outside their house nowadays so he wasn’t sure enough. It couldn’t be a mall or a restaurant.
He looked to the ground, with his arms crossed. “Favorite place… favorite place…” He muttered. He then smiled as he thought of one. “I’ll kill you if you aren’t there.” He said as he smiled widely and went inside the car.
“Back to the mansion.” He commanded then smiled as he rested comfortably on the backseat.

With a sigh and his heart beating unbelievably wildly, he went inside his place. He then headed to the favorite place he only knew. To the garden. He smiled as he looked around but his shoulders dropped as he noticed Yuto wasn’t there.
“I’m really going to kill that guy.” He said as he pouted and crumpled the cards on his hand.
“You really searched for me, Yama-chan.” Yuto said as he came outside from the place where he was hiding, with a bouquet of flowers on his hand.
“Hey, you, you let me go to many places and we’re still going to end up here!?” He exclaimed with a pout but he was happy that he saw Yuto. At last, their little tag game will end as the ‘it’ finally revealed his self.
Yuto came closer to him, and smiled. “And, here, in your favorite place, I am going to say the important things I want to tell you.”
Yamada swallowed the lump on his throat as he stayed looking at Yuto’s eyes that was shining with happiness. “W-wha-“
“I love you, Yamada Ryosuke.”
There, Yuto said it at last. And as though it was on a drama, the cold wind then blew in the garden as the moonlight shone on them with the scent of flowers covering the place. He teard up hearing those words as he felt his heart slowly thumping.
“You’re so evil.” He said as he smiled and wiped the tears that started forming in his eyes.
“I know. Sorry for tiring you out. But I did tell the driver which places to go so it won’t take you a long time.” Yuto said and winked. Then shook the bouquet, signaling for him to get it.
With a pout, he grabbed the flowers and then smiled. He was no longer surprised when Yuto pulled him closer for a hug. He laughed slightly as he felt Yuto’s heartbeat. It was also beating wildly like his. And perhaps, that moment, their heart beat as one. And it was the only sound they could hear at that time. Heartbeats.
“I love you too.” He said as he hugged back and closed his eyes. He was now ready to forget Takaki, all thanks to Yuto. He no longer cared what would happen after that. But one thing is for sure, that very moment, he surrendered all of his heart to the guy that was holding him tightly. He was just too glad and he couldn’t ask for more.
