CHAPTER SIX
Yamada clicked his tongue as he woke up with his phone endlessly ringing from his bedside table. Without bothering to see who called up, he picked it up and shouted, “Stop calling me early on the morning!”
He heard a chuckle from behind that irritated him even more. “I didn’t know you’re this scary when woken up, Yama-chan.” That familiar voice he couldn’t forget said on the other line. He gritted his teeth and put his phone down and covered his face with his pillow.
His cell phone rang again, rolling his eyes, he picked it up for the second time. “Yuto Nakajima, I am not in the mood to talk with you and play with your games. So please, leave me alone!” He said and decided to cut the line but before he could do that, Yuto spoke.
“I am outside in your room now and if you’re not going to talk with me, I am going to get inside.” Yuto said in a demanding voice.
Yamada widened his eyes and got up immediately. “You can’t do that, Yuto. Or else I’m going to kill you.” He exclaimed.
But he heard a sudden thug on the door. He swallowed hard as he tried watching it. “I’m going to break in and I have the permission of your father.” Yuto said as he heard a slight laugh.
He heaved a sigh. He nearly forgot how his father wanted Yuto for him. “Okay.” He gave up and went to the door to open it. Without bothering to fix his self, he greeted the tall lanky guy with a forced smile.
“I’m sorry,” Yuto said, kneeling down on the tiled floor while handling him bouquet of flowers.
Yamada raised his brow since he didn’t expect Yuto would do such thing. “I’m not going to forgive you. Ever.” But he wasn’t sure of what he was saying since he felt his heart loosening up and reaching out for the guy that was begging for his forgiveness.
“I was just saying nonsense back then. I am really sorry that I’ve hurt your feelings, Yama-chan.” Yuto explained, his eyes were now looking at him intensely that caused his insides to melt.
“Okay.” He said as he turned his back, coming back to his bed.
“Does that mean you forgive me?” Yuto asked as he stood up and followed him from behind. Still handling him the bouquet though.
Yamada got the pillow and threw it to the invader of his room. “Hey! How dare you come inside my room!?” He shouted. “Get out, Yuto! Let me fix myself first.”
Yuto just laughed as he caught the pillow on his hand and jokingly winked at him. “Want me to fix yourself?”
“Pervert!” He exclaimed as his face turned into dark red. He then got up and pushed Yuto out of his room and grabbed the flowers from his hands as he shut the door loudly.
Smiling while smelling the flowers, he knew he didn’t hate Yuto that much for what he did.
--
Yamada was surprised when he got outside from his room, making his way to the dining area, an old man and an unfamiliar blond guy that was smiling at him greeted him along with Yuto sitting on their side, and his father on the other side of the table.
Looking at his father, he forced a smile and asked, “Who are they, Dad?”
His father smiled back and looked at their guests. “That is Yuto’s uncle, Johnny Kitagawa and that young man is Johnny’s son, Hikaru Yaotome, Yuto’s cousin.” He introduced.
He nodded and smiled at them apologetically. “Oh, hello.” He greeted then looked at the guy named Hikaru that was smiling at him. “But why aren’t you a Kitagawa?” He asked. “Sorry for being nosy.”
Hikaru grinned and chuckled. “I am adopted son of this old man.”
“Nice to finally meet you, Ryosuke.” The old man named Johnny said.
“Nice to finally meet you too, Johnny-san” He said.
“So, everyone, let’s enjoy our lunch.” His father said with a wide smile.
Yamada nodded and he looked at Yuto as he crinkled his nose before eating. The other guy just laughed slightly before doing so too.
The old men in their table noticed them and his father laughed at their childish acts but Johnny didn’t seem to be happy about it.
“Look at them Johhny, aren’t they cute together? I won’t mind if they end up marrying each other.” His father commented.
Yamada choked on his food as he heard it and Yuto immediately attained to him from his opposite side by handing him a glass of water in which he repaid him with a glare. Yuto just grinned as if he was happy from what he heard.
“You think so?” Johnny asked as he sliced the meat on his plate before bringing a piece to his mouth. “But I have an even greater idea.”
“What is it?” His father asked interestingly.
Johnny smiled and looked at him. “Yamada Ryosuke and Hikaru Yaotome would make a great couple. I would want my son to marry your son.” He declared.
Yamada didn’t choke on his food but his fork fell on the floor as he heard it. He looked at everyone with wide eyes, unable to believe what he just heard. He looked at Hikaru that was just smiling happily at him. Then he looked at Yuto that was looking at him with blank eyes and his father that was just shrugging.
“I think that’s not a good idea.” He said at last, obviously declining what the old man said. “Hikaru and I didn’t know each other until now.”
“Then how about dating him starting today?” Johnny insisted.
He sighed and tried smiling at the annoying old man. “I am in love with someone else and we all know that it wasn’t Hikaru.”
“Who is it?” Hikaru asked as he stuffed food in his mouth.
He smiled sweetly and looked at Yuto that stayed looking at him. “Takaki Yuya.” He said. But he wanted to say Yuto Nakajima. Fool him. He wanted to slice his self now with his food knife as he saw a flicker of hurt on Yuto’s beautiful piercing eyes.
Then he noticed Yuto stared at something in his back. He looked around and saw it wasn’t just something. It was his personal maid, Chinen Yuri, bringing him his phone as it signaled there was an incoming call. He no longer cared since he noticed Chinen was looking back at Yuto too.
