Kururu chuckled to himself, strolling along with his faithful box of mistletoe. Those foolish islanders may have thought they were safe, but no evil genius passed up the chance to gain control of such a dastardly weapon. With how many pieces he'd collected, the island population would be scarred for years.

And not only that, he thought, spotting his target and raising the lid, but this would benefit him in more ways than one--

"STOP RIGHT THERE, VILLAINOUS CRETIN!!"

The poor mistletoe didn't stand a chance as one strong kick sent the scraggly plant soaring into the stratosphere. The attacker skidded to a halt and struck a pose, allowing the two girls perched on his shoulders to gain a better sense of balance.

"Excellent work, comrades!" The redhead boomed (and Amu winced and gave her head a little shake). "While we live and breathe, nothing shall escape the fierce fist of JUSTICE!!"

"Justice!!" Chii chimed in, smiling just as happily.

"You used your foot," Kururu pointed out lazily, too amused by the sight of one of his favorite teasing targets to be annoyed by his thwarted attempt on Prier.

"It will not escape the furious foot of JUSTICE, either! Gyahahahaha!"

Amu sighed under her breath, then gave Flay's shoulder a nudge. "Hey, Flay-san, there's more up ahead. Shouldn't we--"

"Say no more, Pink Warrior! Chii! We plunge ever bravely onwards in pursuit of JUSTICE!!!"

"Justice!! Chii will work very hard~!"

"We're just getting rid of mistletoe, it's not like we're superheroes--"

"ONWARDS!!!"

Flay thundered off into the distance, his two smaller cohorts still safely balanced, and Kururu wondered how long he would have to tease Amu about it tomorrow until she started yelling again.

It'd be worth freeing some more of the captive mistletoe just for that.
