Become Character
IF WE EVER GET A RAN, OR A MIKI, OR A SU-- sob the Charas this may or may not come in handy. XD Cut for TL;DR and pictures.
Okay, Become Character is when you're over nine thousand 100% in sync with your Chara and you get a new outfit and nifty powers. In Amu's case, this is boosted by the use of her Humpty Lock. She's got the Lock, Ikuto's got the Dumpty Key, and sometimes they'll react to each other, as in the case of Amu becoming Amulet Diamond, but we won't be covering that today. XD Or the other transformations she's had with other people's Charas, BECAUSE THAT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG.

The transformation in the anime is full of sparkles and poses, just like any other Magical Girl series (thankfully the manga is toned down in this aspect without all the twirling and stuff BUT MANGA USUALLY IS). Don't believe me? Here, have a sample of Amu transforming into Amulet Heart.
Yes. It's THAT EPIC. Her transformations into Amulet Clover and Amulet Spade are more or less the same, only with different music and with Su and Miki instead of Ran. So different clothes-- yeah, you get the point. Moving on to the actual transformations-- ah, the outfits are pretty much what you'd expect Tomoyo from CCS to make. ;;;
~* Amulet Heart *~
Become Character with Ran. The pompoms are there to... catch X-eggs with or something, idk. Amu can fly in this form, unlike the other two transformations.
Attack: Spiral Heart. She summons her Heart Rod, which is your typical girly-looking wand thing, and throws it, apparently like a boomerang. Because it doesn't shoot out any magical beams-- or, as Amu puts it, "Why isn't the magic coming out?! D:" (I really don't know why you even have to call it anything--)
~* Amulet Spade *~
Become Character with Miki. There's not much to say about this one, except it's a little more sophisticated than the other two costumes (thank you, Miki, for your fashion sense, THANK YOU SO MUCH).
Attack: Colorful Canvas. Using that giant paintbrush, Amu attacks with... sparkly rainbow paint. It seems to slow down X-eggs/Charas or trap them or whatever... because I don't know what this attack actually does. PAINT GETS IN THEIR EYES?! D: I guess you could beat your enemies over the head with it if you really wanted to. XD The clip below will show you the transformation, the attack, and the cleansing technique Amu typically uses. Bonus points for Amu being a little tsundere Magical Girl and losing her temper.
~* Amulet Clover *~
Become Character with Su. Now she's apparently a maid or a cook IS THIS YOUR HOUSEWIFE CHARACTER AMU--
Attack: Remake Honey. By reciting some little blurb about dissolving all your gloom into sweets, Amu uses the whisk (sob) to unleash... yes, you guessed it. Magical honey. She doesn't have to do her usual X-egg cleansing attack in this form, because Remake Honey will also purify them... and fix other broken things ahaha. (WHY IS IT SO CORNY.) I think she can also do something involving sewing, from what I've seen in a chapter, but I don't know anything about it yet.
Afore-mentioned cleansing attack can be used in any of her forms, and consists of making a heart shape with her hands, focusing it on the X-egg or character, and purifying it with the power of the Humpty Lock. I-it's hard to explain, but Amulet Spade uses it in the clip I linked, so. XD
Really, punching and kicking and dropping your head on cement if you're Ikuto works just as well when she's just herself. ;;
... Ahaha Island totally needs an X-egg invasion one day. I wonder how many people would try to eat them
