So Filled Space

Don't you just hate it when you pop a CD into your computer and it tells you that the last track is, like, twenty minutes. Even if all the others are six or seven, twenty means one of two things - either it's one of those annoying, four minute songs with ten minutes of filler followed by six minutes of melodiless electronic noise or, worse, it's a twenty minute song. Now, unless the album is by Mogwai or Godspeed You! Black Emperor, you just don't imagine there's gonna be much room in your heart for all twenty minutes.

So far Mad Air Punch by Chrome Hoof - weighing in at twenty minutes and a second - has been plinky plonky and not at all like the other two doom deathco pieces. As such we have two options. Either it really is twenty minutes of slightly ironic chirping or it will quickly cut out - we're at five and a half minutes - leave us with silence for nine minutes and then cut into something else. Or. It will just be seven or eight different songs one after the other. We're into song two now, it seems, seamlessly a brass number. Interesting..
