Like Tunnel Fire
We're working. We've been doing a few contributions for other sites (stupid really, since we're so far back on our own but since nobody visits our site we've gotta spread the good word somehow) and we're clicking buttons. We ain't hitting the pussy or hitting the switch. It's almost like we're more bitches than bitches.
Lo-Ego
It's hard to say what is and isn't new at the moment. This band could've been around years but we're only just finding them. As it happens we don't think that's the case. Luckily, since for us to have missed them if they'd been around a long time would've been slightly criminal. It's okay though, we've found them now. The thing about post rock is that lots of people try it and lots of people get close but only really very few make it utterly essential. Most just sounds like bands doing post rock. Lo-Ego, like the best of them, sound like a band who are trying to express something that just so happens to take the form of post rock. It's quiet and intricate and building and capable of lifting the ceiling clean off the walls. Find it.
