...and all the people here have just been conditioned to believe that 18-hour workdays are an enjoyable part of life because they've been rewarded for behavior like that from birth?
These are the kinds of things I think about while walking across campus. I was trying to think of a way that I could turn that idea into a novel, but I have yet to figure out what the conflict would be or what the main character(s) would be like.
Our hall is currently interviewing new GRTs. I've never been at a place where you get to choose your mentors before, and I kind of like it. I sit and knit, since I'm a senior and it's more important that the people who will be here next year have a say in the process (I don't have to deal with the consequences, after all). But I like listening to the interviews. It gives me things to think about.
For example, what exactly would I do if I had an army of minions?
