Funnn DAY
Well today was rather eventful! I was going to go to the doc. just for a normal checkup and then go to lunch with my mom and grandma... sounds simple enough right? Wrong. I got to the doc and got my strep b test done, and he told me that I was dialated 1-2 cm. already, which isnt too good conisdering I am not too close to my due date. I told him that sometimes I will have a slight pain in my back, but that is all. Well he had me hooked up to monitors, and it turns out I was having contractions, so they had me go to the hospital to labor and delivery, yuck. I am so glad Nick could leave work to be there with me! I had so many people come see me it was so nice. Anyways... they told me to drink a lot of water, and if that didn't stop the contractions, I was going to get an IV... so I drank a lot of water, that didn't help, so they gave me the IV (EWWW!!!) I had blood drawn 2 times from me, and I had to get a shot. The contractions stopped, but the whole thing of being in the hospital for 11 hours, in labor, not knowing what was going to happen sucked pretty bad. If that shot wouldn't have worked, they were just going to let me go ahead and have her, so if I go in to labor again, they are just going to let it go. So any day now, I will be a mommy! OH, and all I had for like 8 hours was a banana and jello, and let me tell you, Cheddar Melts from Arbys... those were heaven to me, lol. Thank you so much Nick for being there through the whole thing, you honestly made it soo much easier and less painful (needles). I didn't have 1 single pain with the contractions.. woo.
I am dead tired... going to go watch some tv with my sweetheart!
