I'm driftin away

Today I finally had a day off and ended up walking the streets of downtown Tampa, I have never till this day realized just how beautiful the scenery is in that city. the buildings, the skyline, the port. I walked all alone, the only one accompanying me had been my shadow but the strange thing is I enjoyed every moment of it. it wasn't cold, it wasn't hot...in fact is was outright perfect. it's strange...now that I know I will be leaving the city I grew up in I've been able to appreciate more of what i call home, I've been spending more time with my brother..even if it just playing videogames together it brings me back to when we were growing up...yelling at eachother and laughing as we played James Bond: GoldenEye on nintendo64. on the drive home from Tampa I gazed upon the sun setting far into the west...setting over the place I will be calling home in just 8 months......
