Steve and Erika flew to New Jersey today to visit Steve's mother. Since the universe has just handed me a sizable chunk o'free time, I am facing hard choices of what to fill it with. :-) I thought I would go to an ACA meeting, but instead of a social meeting, they are having a lecture on a topic that doesn't interest me. A movie, maybe? True to Murphy's law, there are no movies this week I would like to see. Sure, there are some movies I probably wouldn't hate, but that's not a strong enough incentive to go see one. Am I destined to spend the whole day slouching in coffeeshops with my laptop, writing and programming until my eyes bleed out?
Perhaps I'll go to one of the Alamo Drafthouses. They have free WiFi. This would let me, in theory at least, watch a movie while trying to debug my Gallery2 installation, botched by a disastrous upgrade and then lamely restored to semi-function, in the sense that it shows pictures that are currently in it, but does not allow me to add new ones. Now that's a project that could easily swallow a Sunday or three. Or maybe I should continue to evaluate other free photo gallery / photo blogging softwares to see if any of them are superior to Gallery. I've been evaluating some of them with discouraging results.
