Update on the missing shoe

Erika's shoe that had mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth, was found. I found it in my car. The only explanation is that when Erika tossed it over her shoulder, it landed it the hood (or canopy, or whatever that's called?) of her car seat. The hood / canopy had been folded down. When I picked up the car seat and loaded it into the car, the shoe remained hidden in the folds of the hood. Later at some point it fell out. That's the only way it could have ended up on the floor of my car.

This is a more plausible theory than my earlier one, so, alas, I must submit to its logic. But the earlier one was more fun.
