kissing tree
bandfic, changmin/yunho. 752w.
for yuxi, a
remix.
1. Changmin is somewhere between eighteen and nineteen when he tells Jaejoong: "Kiss me."
Jaejoong glances at Changmin from above the thick black frame of his fake glasses, before he goes back to his manhwa. He's not paying enough attention, and it's annoying because this is kind of a big deal. "Pass."
"Why?" Changmin says.
Jaejoong shrugs, his tongue peeking out the corner of his mouth in idle concentration. Changmin doesn't need to read over his shoulder to know that it's one of his trashy romances. "You're not my type," Jaejoong says.
Changmin sits on the arm of the couch and punches Jaejoong's shoulder. "It's for research."
"You've been kissed before."
"Not by a guy. I want to know what it's like."
Jaejoong licks his thumb and turns the page. "So ask Yoochun. He's more liberal about which throats he sticks his tongue down."
"Not by much."
"I think your time-out corner is calling."
Changmin punches him again.
2. "No," Junsu says, and hides his mouth from Changmin.
Changmin doesn't go through the trouble of feeling insulted. He battles the orange rind with his fingernails before finally reaching for a knife. "It's for research," he repeats.
Junsu, who has retreated to the opposite end of the kitchen table, scoots back in to reach the fruitbowl too. "And I'm not participating," he says, with a grape tucked against the inside of his cheek. "I know my rights."
"I'll live, somehow," Changmin says.
It comes out more sullen than it should have, because Junsu crinkles his nose and says, "Alright, fine." He takes one of the orange peels and makes out with it, wet and dramatic, before shoving it into Changmin's mouth in the shape of a smile. "There's your kiss."
3. Changmin can't tell if he finds Yoochun or if Yoochun finds him. Yoochun has stubbed out his last cigarette earlier than usual, and he turns around so his back is to the rest of the city. "My turn?" he asks.
It's hard to play it casual when Yoochun gets like this. Changmin tries anyway, hooking his thumbs against the pockets of his jeans and calculating how much of a slouch to put in his shoulders. "If you aren't busy."
Yoochun backs Changmin into a private corner of the balcony and twists his fingers into the front of Changmin's t-shirt. "I should warn you, though," he says, "kissing me is probably going to ruin you for everyone else who comes after."
Yoochun kisses slow and sure. He kisses the way oceans would, a little harder and wilder with every second. He tastes like cigarettes on top of more cigarettes, but once he starts sucking on Changmin's tongue, Changmin doesn't care anymore.
Yoochun finally breaks away. "Well?"
Changmin remembers to use his words. "Uh."
Yoochun's a smug, opportunistic asshole when he wants to be. "Encore?" he says, closing in again, and Changmin laughs and covers Yoochun's mouth with his palm.
"Get back to the end of line."
4. Changmin swings his legs off the edge of his bed when Yunho raps his knuckles against the doorframe, but Yunho says, "You don't need to get up, I'm just checking on you."
Changmin rolls his eyes and smiles. "I was just about to eat paste."
"Good thing I showed up." Yunho smiles back. "Did you finally get one of the guys to kiss you?"
Changmin's body tingles at the memory. "Yeah."
"Was it what you were hoping for?"
Changmin shrugs and doesn't answer, but his heart starts to pound as soon Yunho crosses the room. Yunho stands over Changmin and his long fingers cradle the back of Changmin's neck, guiding him forward. Changmin knows he looks like such a kid right now. He thinks of Jaejoong's childish pranks and Junsu's indirect kiss and Yoochun's wicked mouth. Already none of them can compare.
Yunho takes his time kissing Changmin, not like Changmin's something to be delicate with but like Changmin's someone fascinating and new. He slides their mouths together hotly, exploratory, and gives Changmin the room to shift against his hand and respond. A hint of Yunho's five o'clock shadow scratches at Changmin's skin, but Changmin only pulls Yunho closer.
When it's over, Yunho says gently, "That's how you should be getting kissed," before he presses his mouth to Changmin's hair and leaves.
Changmin doesn't move for a couple minutes, trying to convince his skin to cool down. Then he pushes off his bed, and follows Yunho through the door. He knows what he's looking for this time around.
