Why is it that when I have all the time I want to spend working on my little sewing projects all I want to do is curl up in front of the TV under a blanket and zone out? My sister says its probably because I'm not getting enough B-vitamins in my diet. *shrug* Anyhow, I decided to be semi-productive and crochet a scarf that I had gotten the idea for from
yofar and I put together
black and white mosaic yarn with
red fun fur to make a neat scarf for my future step-mother-in-law (also known as Diana). I really like how it turned out, though I would have liked to have made it a bit wider but I'm too cheap to pay full price for another skein of each. I decided to give that to Diana instead of the apron that I had been planning to make because the fabric I purchased for hers has some stretch to it and it would be a massive pain in the butt so it will serve another purpose later.
I have the pattern pieces for the top half of my dad's presnet cut out and the fabric for the aprons I'm making for Ben's dad (George) and little brother (Evan) just finished in the dryer. Maybe one of these days I'll be semi-motivated enough to actually sew on one of them. They shouldn't take too long once I get started, but it's the getting started part that is so difficult. I'm hoping to get motivated very very soon, other wise i'm going to be stressing myself out at the last minute and that would be bad.
By the way, I was also meaning to dye my hair tonight and that didn't happen either. My hair is getting longer, which I want, but I'm not used to it and it's bugging me. It's due to be cropped again soon - not soon enough though.
