[The first surprise for Kakine was that he woke up this morning, despite almost certainly dying the day before.
The second surprise was waking up in a strange house in a strange town in what is obviously a foreign country and is ridiculously technologically backwards, especially by his standards.
His first instinct is to run out of the house and investigate his surroundings. A quaint town indeed, picturesque and pristine, but not exactly what he's used to. Anyone who sees him anxiously pacing up and down the street, closely examining everything in sight, and muttering to himself will immediately recognize him as a very confused and agitated new arrival.]
