Hideyoshi is one of the main characters from Baka to Test to Shōkanjū, otherwise known as Baka Test. This thirteen episode anime series from 2010 focuses on a special high school, where placement in a particular class is based on your entrance exam grades. Class A are the smartest, and thus have plush chairs, personal laptops, and the best classroom facilities imaginable. Class F (which Hideyoshi is in) on the other hand is the worst of the worst. With a falling apart classroom, old tatami mats, and orange boxes as desks, you can't get much worse. The classes have the ability to summon "beast", small chibi-like versions of themselves that can be used to fight other "beasts". If a lower class challenges an upper class to a duel and wins, they can exchange facilities. If the lower class loses however, their facilities are made even worse than they already are. The "beasts" power levels are based off a student's class grades, so people who do well on exams are stronger than those who don't.
Baka Test is more of a comedy than anything, and as such does not have a really intense plot. Hideyoshi is pulled from nowhere in particular in canon.
