Tao
So I received a forward email from someone and it's about the boycott on the Venetian Hotel Casino.
Here's the email:
"Last week, I visited Las Vegas, including Venetian hotel and casino. There I found one night club(named "Tao") using Buddha images everywhere. One of their ads, displaying our Lord Buddha with one naked lady (look at attached picture). This is very offensive to all Buddhists all over the world. How about if we compare Jesus Christ images with naked man or something ? It would be offensive to Christians and Christianity too.
Having freedom of speech is one thing, this is sheer insult to all Buddhists and Buddhism, please forward to all the responsible Buddhists around the world and let's boycott this Venetian Hotel and Casino till it drops all Buddhist images. Don't make America look bad! Tell Venetian Hotel to stop this blasphemy to Buddhism & blatant insult to Buddhist devotees!"
I'm not a Buddhist, so this doesn't have a direct affect on me. However, I do respect all religions and this does look offensive. What do you guys think?
