Ah, geez. I'm getting tired of these curses. Two days forgotten, part of another day that felt like being in someone else who was, by the way, dying... these are not good things, city. How am I supposed to get anything done ( Read more... )

Jeane's Rune shop- I work there, they sell scrolls and runes.

Some of the stuff in people's own worlds... requires a special kind of talent, and if it's anything like the 'magic' in my world, it can take years of study to be any good at it. But I suppose that's the price for that power.

Oh? I'll have to go look someday.

Hmm. I wonder how it works between worlds, with one person from one and one person from another. Even if it takes a special talent... I think I'd still like to try anyway.

Do you know other people that use magic?

Hm... Well, anyone seems able to use Jeane's runes and scrolls... And I suppose you could try, at least. And that is an interesting question.

Um... Mr. Dresden, Ms. Megumi, Ms. Zaheela, any ninja, any shinigami, any arrancar... most of the people from Jeane's world use runes, um... That's all I can think of for now, try asking around. And I can't do magic, really. It's just a word we use for a special kind of technology in my world, that I don't really understand. The scholars said it was special, somehow.

Hmm. I don't know of Ms. Megumi or Ms. Zaheela. But I bet they're nice people. And I never heard of ninja using magic before, hmm.

Technology is really interesting, too. People were writing some really interesting computer programs around the time I left my world. What's the technology like where you're from?

They call it 'jutsu' But it's the same thing, as far as I understand.

Less advanced than this world, actually. Except for a few things I don't really understand. What kind of computer programs?

Jutsu? Hmm.

All kinds of things. But most interesting was something about trying to recreate a person's brain from scratch, inside a computer. Isn't that funny? Starting with nothing... and ending up with a person. I don't think they got it working, though.

What sort of things didn't you understand?

Some of the technology in our world... mostly, the stuff that works off elementary particles.

Oh, right!

I don't really know a lot about physics, how that kind of stuff really works, either. But the technology is great.
