And... we're back
Tim and I took a trip to chicago this past weekend to do an interview/scout out an apartment for May. We only looked at two apartments... and while we walked away from the second we realized that we should really just get that one. It was tiny, but had a lot of character and was a good deal for that part of town. It’s close to the lake, a couple blocks from the el, and pretty darn close to a possible job for me. So we put down a deposit and are going to move to
(I removed myself because I had a bad hair day... and this is pube-lic)
sometime in May.
So things that happened on trip:
1. The clouds peed on us practically the whole way
2. Tomas is confirmed to be one of the most interesting guys I know, and met his crazy cool sister Amanda
3. Couldn't get Flight of the Conchords tickets online or in person!
4. Ate at the Backstage Bistro... college kids + inexperience = entertaining outcome
5. Went to Millinium Park and experienced the silver bean up close
6. Put a deposit on a cute lil' apartment
7. Had another interview, was told to give them two weeks notice for a date that I want to start working... yay!
8. Got apologized to by another possible employer since he never called me back/ couldn't set up a time to do a job shadowing thing, but reminded that they're still interested, making me feel more wanted and self-confidant
9. Someone stole my license, debit card, credit card, and cash, but left me my transit card
10. Walked way too much in the rain, making my feet wet, me freezing, legs tired, and the continuance of miserable feeling with the lost id/money situation
11. Timmy came to save me from my miserable day/creepy neighborhood/no money situation
12. Came home early and got cutest puppy ever back!
13. Also came home to the Eagle vs. Shark DVD I got Timmy for our 2 year and 11 month anniversary today!
