Even though you gamble
You could make it fast
But you got to remember
It takes a lot of cash.
You need to work hard
You need to think fast
If you think you’re winning
Remember your
Money won’t last.
You play the slots
You play blackjack
You fight real hard
To make it last.
You lose it all
You’ve lost your chance
You’re back in the hole
With nothing to grasp.
The dream isn’t easy
The dream shouldn’t be fast
If you want something special
You need to make it last.
Everyone wants to be happy
Everyone wants to be better
But everyone can’t get it
Or else we wouldn’t sweat it.
If you try real hard
You can make it soon
But nothing lasts forever
If you spend it too soon.
The hope for the dream
Is strong and true
But remember
That lady luck isn’t always with you.
Gambling takes patience
Gambling takes time
You could be earning money
Instead of wasting every dime.
Yet you still haven’t learned
Yet you still spend it all
On trying to earn it quick
Instead of saving it all.
