Update!

Because I know it's been a very long time since I last updated I've now randomly decided to it! YAY! *coughs*

So anyway. I studied for maybe 12 hours or less for my psychology exam and never read the book and managed to get an 88%. I would have got a 90 but I decided to the short answer in case I did badly on the multiple choice.

Also, I freaked out the last month and half of school and just went weird. I couldn't concentrate or do anything and I was prone to random weeping at night. So I didn't complete any of the three essays I had due. I managed to get it together in time to do the presentation for one class and asked for incompletes on the other two and spent basically my whole break (that's three weeks, folks) writing these two bloody essays. I nearly killed me. Well the one that took two weeks nearly did. It was a Modes of Reasoning paper and the stuff I had to do was so abstract and nonsensical so it took my Aunt (who helped me greatly by making me actually do them and breaking them down into manageable chunks) a ton effort to get anything out me. And then I ran out of time for reasons I will address later and I went into the last week of the break not caring if I finished the last one. I enjoyed babysitting my cousins and forcing the one to watch the IIHF (Junior) hockey. Oh yeah. It was great.

I went back to Grimsby (where I had been writing the essays) on Sat. and wrote the whole essay the next day. Not properly because I didn't have the time or the knowledge to research it. So I used the textbook and found one other site. I still managed to write about 2000 words, so I was okay.

I only spent a couple days at home and never in a row. I think I spent less than 24hrs at everytime. But my family did go to Peterborough for Christmas Day and spent the night with my Aunt and Uncle and my cousin and her husband and kid and his mom. We've become a lot closer and more appreciative of each other since my Grandma passed away.

And then there was the Lynch Christmas which always gives me a headache as I am torn between the kids and the adults, both of whom want some amount of my time, while I just want to get away. Too many people and too much noise.

I went back to Grimsby that night (the 30th) where I was sleeping at my Grandma's, helping her out in the mornings and doing school work in the afternoon. While that night I was watching the hockey at about one and my Grandpa suddenly comes downstairs fully dressed (last I saw he was in pyjamas) and he asks me to come and help Grandma. I go upstairs and there she is sitting on the bed clutching her stomach and blood blisters all over her face from throwing up multiple times in the last two hours. I helped her into some pants and got her ready to go the hospital all the while crying because all I could think was "Not her stomach, not again!" My Aunt and Grandpa went with her and were gone until 3:30 or 4 am. I sat and blindly watched the repeats of the hockey games and randomly cried.

She was in hospital for a few days but the doctors said it was he gallbladder which made me calm down slightly. She's now home, hoping to get a bit better and take some tests. And she's getting her knee done sometime soon. They had to reschedule after she got sick. But she's doing a lot better.

Anyway, on to happier things now. The 16th of December was the highlight of my break. I went to Toronto with a bunch of you and got to meet a bunch of Amanda's friends and Lindsay's boyfriend, who is gorgeous and should not cut his hair. And then Suzanne and I went to see Hey Rosetta!.... after a little incident of me forgetting my ID and having to go back for it. Fortunately everyone was running late and the bands all started about 40 minutes late. I bought 3 CD's which rock and saw about 7 drunken fights outside of the bar after the show which my brother blamed on the townies. According to Suzanne a girl was getting groped too. It was... interesting to say the least. Anyway, we had a great time.

I got really nice stuff for Christmas, some of my favourites being the new Loreena McKinnet CD and some Toronto Maple Leafs Christmas baubles for the tree! I now want a mini tree to put them on and get blue and white tinsel-y stuff and dress up as my Maple Leafs tree! YAY!

So yeah, that was my break and that was what happened. Hope you're all doing well!
