WHEE!!! [jumping around like a lil kid]
So what has happened lately? :
(procrastinated) Gig Summary :
It was definitely a blast!. Set in a quaint, cozy lil place, the crowd was just right; at the level of not full, not empty. Despite the fact that the ppl we invited to come and support us were not present, we're still happy with the support coming from the unfamiliar batch of attendees. In fact, it feels somewhat ... intimate!
We hit the stage with 2 songs of solo performance by Sizlo with his rendition of his own number and Dave Matthews' (the song that got Sizlo "flying" when someone from the crowd sang along loudly & proudly finished a line for him). Following that, he cued the crowd to get into "Emo mode" as he breaks into an emotional cover song, 'Against all odds'. Halfway through the song, Me & Sharul joined in and (overstating-ly) bedazzled the crowd to steer into greater heights of "heartbreaks". Pursuing that, is our catchy (believe me it's either groovy or catchy or both) song, 'Remember This'. Whoa!! that song certainly got me prancing around like a kitty on speed!. Then we hit it with another cover from Cold - 'Whatever you became' ( i'd like to humbly admit that i made a mistake or two this time! :P ). & we closed our set with another number of our own, 'Be with you'.
Applause, cheers & whistles. We're happy. The crowd? might be, because they were kinda frustrated that they didn't get their "one more wey! one more!" request for a song. I'm sorry, but we have our time limits. Nevertheless, it was our first gig, & we're totally overwhelmed by the support given. Thanks guys! We'll see you again some other gig far far away in the near galaxy! :P
What have I been up to? :
- getting busy with my Final Year Project; i have 6 weeks to graduation.
- spending my "free" time at the office & outside, with the crew of 'Get@Car' magazine. (go buy the magazine! it's worth every lil bit of ur penny!').
- working on the lyrics of our new song entitled, ' You're breathing my air' (it's gonna be another grrrooovy number!).
- hanging out with a new bunch of crowd, exploring what's unexplored "out there".
- am currently really really happy with the presence of doubleDdoubleL in my ever-depressive life. (all smiles & no regrets).
