Tuesday, Jo and I go on the road for three weeks.
We're taking a driving vacation across New England and the Maritime Provinces. Unlike any other vacation trip we've ever done, this one is a ramble. We're going to follow our noses and see where we end up. We're going to decide our stops and schedule as we go.
A few places and things we may see:
- Mount Washington
- Canterbury Shaker Village
- America's Stonehenge
- Kennebunk Beach
- Many lighthouses
- Acadia Park
- Lunenburg (the Bluenose is in port)
- Halifax
- The Cabot Trail
- The Fundy trail
- The Magnetic Hill in Moncton
- Prince Edward Island
- Gaspe'
- The Cyclorama of Jerusalem in Ste Anne-de-Beaupre'
- Quebec City (home of Jo's mother and sister)
- andpuff , who we've been promising to visit for too long
- Niagara Falls and the Niagara wine country.
We timed this to fit in after schools starts so the "summah people" and their kids will have gone home, and before the "leaf peepers" come out. We're hoping for warm weather, but packing for any eventuality.
I hope I'll be able to post occasional reports and pictures to this journal.
