How do you use Userpics?
A friend of mine recently posted that she had some new Userpics. Looking them over, I realized that not one of them was a recognizable picture of her.
I then looked at mine and realized all my Userpics are pictures of me, and most of them are quite recognizable:
(What? I'm a bald guy, so I wear hats.)
So, how do you use Userpics? Are they photographs of you? Caricatures or cartoons of you? Pictures of your avatar, or totem? Things you like? Completely unrelated to who you are?
Is it a social gaffe to use one's actual face as a userpic, perhaps akin to using one's real name as a user name? Why or why not?
