1. I have an interview today at 3. I've kind of given up on finding a job that will be awesome, and now I'd just like to have a job. If you have a few good thoughts to spare around that time, I'd appreciate them.
1a. About the time I got laid off last year, I had a really vivid dream. In the dream, an old friend and I were driving down the road in a car when we lost control and drove off a cliff. Time slowed down, and I knew I was going to die, so I sent out a "prayer" to whoever may be listening to help my parents and friends deal with my death, and then I braced for impact. Now, normally you'd think a person would wake up when they hit the ground, right? I didn't. We hit the ground. We crawled out of this wreck of a car pretty much unscathed and then we had to call for a ride because ours was in a smashed heap. When I woke up, I was left with the impression that I was going to go through a time where had no control, and while I wouldn't come out necessarily better for it, I'd be okay. I think I've reached the place where okay is fine with me.
2. Dollhouse continues to make me happy. This post explains better than I could why the metaphors in the show are so unsettling and how it actually does have a pro-female stance.
