January I got two things finished: One pair of Rose's Wrist Warmers made into full mittens (for my SIL) and one sweater for my nephew.
In February I made this hat for a friend's newborn. It's based on my own Purple Twist pattern, and is way too big for a newborn. But, too big is better than too small!
Then I made a cable sleeve for my mobile charger, because that cable always annoys me when I'm traveling.
Still in February, I finished this TARDIS that had been on hold for ages. It has a cardboard box inside for shaping.
March arrived and so did my hat period. Here's one I made for my sis. The pattern was based on one called Mesi (to be found on Ravelry), but I did change quite a bit.
My mum got two hats, the first one reminds me of snow bells. I messed up the pattern, but I think it's better this way.
The second hat for mum is another honeycomb hat. A bit too yellow-ish for my taste, but she wanted it, so...
Then I finally finished a hat for myself: The Purple Twist. I think the hat looks gorgeous, but it's a pain to knit because it takes forever.
In April I finished my first commissioned piece: The third honeycomb hat. This time with better honeycomb colours.
I started several projects in April, but they weren't finished until later in the year.
In May I made two baby TARDISes to go with the first one:
Then I made these wrist warmers for Vena. This was my first attempt at the honeycomb wrist warmers.
Started in April but finished in May, here's a sweater for my youngest nephew. Size 2-3 years.
This one was finished in June: A bolero in thick cotton. I'm not happy with it and it'll probably be frogged at some point.
In July I finished this hat, also for my youngest nephew. Probably the last Twist hat I'll ever make.
I also finished this sweater for my oldest nephew. Way too warm wool for summer knitting!
Still in July I designed the Torchwood Coffee Cup, in memory of the late Ianto Jones.
Michelle got this Torchwood pouch, perfect size for an iPhone.
And here's another Torchwood Cup:
In August I designed these wrist warmers for a Pushing Daisies project on Ravelry. There's supposed to be a book, but if nothing happens there soon, I'll publish the pattern on this blog and on Ravelry.
September: Trousers to go with the sweater for my nephew. Size 5-6 years.
In October I finished this sweater for my friend's baby. Size 2 years.
Then I finished these trousers for my youngest nephew. Size 2-3 years.
Still in October I made this scarf for my brother. It's in the softest merino wool you can imagine, and he was very pleased with it, even requested mittens in the same yarn/pattern! (And if you'd known my brother, you'd understand how incredible that is.)
So of course I made some mittens as well. I adapted the pattern from the scarf onto generic mittens. Easy-peasy.
November and we're well into X-mas presents: Leg warmers for SIL. I made the pattern myself.
Finally, I made more of the honecomb wrist warmers as X-mas presents: One pair of green/white, two more pairs of red/black, and one pair of black/purple.
(Ignore the horrible lighting here, they're more purple than they look.)
