After school got out, had to be in Highland lakes for Avi Gadish's bar mitzvah, so Avi E, Gutman, Ariel, Zach and I were being housed at the Fersters. I got there late, missed the really nice singing at the temple, saw Ilana, Dina, Racheli, Sarah C,and Emma, have an amazing dinner at Ilana's house with the Mandrons and other people, afterwhich we sang for at least five hours, in the little living room area.
The girls of course were the ones leading it all, but it was quite enjoyable, they sang all my favourites.
They had set up a tent for us at the fersters, but i slept in the bed of Baba Sali's nephew.
Next morning, wake up late, sit through the bar mitzvah, which was excellently done,then went to Beth Torah for a MOTHER LUNCH, which was out of this world, met up there with Leora Eyal and Morris, sat around, smuggled like four bottles of Bartenura wine (my favourite) to the table, all sat together and talked for a while, of course, everyone broke out in song AGAIN, fpr ;ike four hours, walked eyal home, came back, they were stil singing, went to ilanas, hung out there for a while, ate Seudat shlishi with some unknown old dude who literally just walked into the house, did Minchah Maariv, everyone left, i sat around with ilana and ariel till like 2 am, went home.
sunday went to Tuchinskys appreciation thing, ate with manny and eyal, then daniella's house, then naomi, and on Tuesday night, went to Golden brooms, got two awards (Esprit de corps) woot woot, saw tons of people there, drove to Eyals and Shulis, went with them to see Jb who had just gotten back from Israel, stayed there till like 2, went to the Pearlhouse, played video games till 4, went home.
Wendesday, was at with janine and jb all day, Thursday, had a senior depression day and watched old videos of the Hillel Theatre, then ushered at the Hillel graduation.
I went solely because of Felissa, Jacob, and Ariel, and seeing them walk down the aisle with their robes and tassels in their moment of achievement was really amazing. When they started singing the graduate's song, everyone started getting teary and farklempt, but when they sang "Yesterday" some people started bawling and it was really sad for a lot of the people sitting in that room, myself included. The ceremony ended, and a lot of people were just crying all around, and you could just feel it everywhere. I congratulated the people i was proud of, teared up like twenty times, and then Dina was like " What are you gonna do next year, we won t be sitting next to you, it ll be us sitting up on stage." and of course that did it for me. That whole experience was so emotionally draining but everyone decided to go to Bissaleh, which was fun, and tons of people were there, but there was this sadness just floating around,and Jb played "Blakcbird" for Jacob and everyone who understood what exaclty that meant were crying. We go to Janines cos she was going to Senior party, but Jb and Jacob fall asleep, Jordan and David hang out for a while, Natalie Traub j-9 and i hung out in the kitchen which was such a comic relief to the night, they go to sleep and it ends up being me and Janine talking about life till 8 am, when the sun came out.
