[ When the American South opened the door, she expected to step into her own home. In fact, it takes her a moment to realize that isn't where she is at all, wind blowing that long hair in her face while the other hand closes the door and habitually straightens a long skirt that really doesn't need straightening ( Read more... )

[Texas may have been wanting to escape from CSA for a little while, and so slipped away from the cabin to the main house. He was just wandering around, really, until he sees South.]

...Ma'am?

[ When South sees Texas, she pauses a moment. She heard of the potential for meeting someone from a different time the last she was in Hammerspace, but she never met someone from another time. However, she's fairly certain Texas wouldn't have changed this much in only a few months time. It's strange to her...but. Texas is Texas, and it atleast looks and sounds like him. ]

Hello, Texas.

[That'd be a neat trick, if Texas could look a century younger in a few months.

He smiles, trying to not worry about the Union suddenly appearing.]

S'nice to see ya. You been stuck here too?

[ All the girls would be jealous. ]

I was once before...but it seems I've wandered back.

[They would hate him so. Maybe that's why he can't seem to keep dating anyone for very long.]

I'm sorry, but I can't lie, I'm glad to see a friendly face.

[ They're too jealous is all~

That gets a bit of a curious look from her. ]

Have ya not had friendly company?

Well, Chief's here...

[...Uh. How does he put this.]

...He's alright, s'just- The Union's here too.

Chief...?

[ South can imagine who Texas is referring to, considering he also states the Union's name. She can't help the way her attention focuses on it before realizing. This is Texas, apparently referring to CSA as "cheif". And the Union's here.

She glances around, before indicating one of Hammerspace's living rooms. ]

Why don' we go sit down ta speak?

[ And get out of the open hallway. ]

[This...seems very reminiscent of when CSA told him about the war. He isn't sure what the South is wanting to talk about, but... It'd be rude to refuse, so he nods.]

Yes, ma'am.

[He goes into the room, but waits for her to sit before he does.]

[ Haha, well you are basically dealing with a mother and son, it's only natural CSA took after her as well as his brother.

She'll sit down opposate him, ankles crossed and hands folded on her lap. She isn't entirely sure of what she wishes to speak about actually, it's amazing how so few words can create so many questions. ]

...it sounds as if both the Union and Aaron are here.

[Texas sits across from her and nods.]

That's the case. Union just recently.

And if Hammerspace stays true to tha stories I've heard, they're both aware of this.

Yeah... I told Chief he was here. Then when we went to warn other-Chief, we ran into the Union.

Neither of you was hurt, were ya'll?

[ Wait a moment. ]

Other-Chief? There's two?

[Just. Not going to answer that and focus on the second question.]

Yeah- One's from around my time an' the other's from the future. Two thousand somethin', I think?

[ For a moment South seems like she isn't sure how to react to the news of CSA still being around. Of course, she couldn't believe that the boy was gone; she would still think she saw him, or felt him, or heard him and turned to look and even while she never saw him there, she simply couldn't believe he was gone.

Eventually, South smiles softly. ]

That is very good to hear. Thank you fer tellin' me.
