Sadiq answered the door, his jacket halfway on. As usual, Gupta was right on time.

"Hi," he said, sort of rushed. "I just have to grab a scarf for me. One sec." He disappeared into the room and reappearing in less than thirty seconds. "Okay, ready to go."

Gupta had half a mind to peer into the room, to have a look at Sadiq's living situation, but he kept to himself to the point where he was staring at the floor. Admittedly he was a little taken aback as Sadiq reappeared, the scarf about his neck looking, to say the least, unchanged. Gupta's lips twitched, perhaps in an attempt to smile, but the expression on his face remained as dull as ever.

He nodded and gestured with a tilt of his head, his hands shoved deep into his pockets.

Sadiq put his own hands in his pockets as well, smirking a little. "Still so talkative, I see. And you wouldn't want to look in that room. It's just boring. Nothing at all interesting. Just so you know."

Gupta looked up at him, perhaps a little suddenly, his eyes wide. It seemed that Sadiq still knew him as well as he used to. He pursed his lips, unwilling to give him a response, and instead leaned slightly, nudging his old... friend... with his elbow. Surely that said more than a thousand words ever could, or perhaps it said nothing at all.

The Turk glanced over at the Egyptian, catching the surprised look. It amused him to know he could still read Gupta as well as before. He was even more amused when Gupta nudged him. He chuckled. "What? I like teasing you. It's how I get you to actually talk. Anyway. What do you want to go to first? want to find a mosque, or shop? We could get you a warmer coat first, if you want."

Gupta bit his bottom lip, hearing the way Sadiq chuckled and confessed to liking the action of "teasing" him, but his brow quickly furrowed at the mention of his outerwear. He looked down at his coat and smoothed out the front, hands running over the buttons with his naked hand - he had yet to purchase any gloves - and thought his coat was just fine, wasn't it? And he gave Sadiq a quizzical look, as if to ask that very question.

"I know you're not used to this climate, Gupta," he said, looking ahead of them. "Hell, I'm cold, at least, so I figured you must be too, is all."

Ashamed, Gupta bowed his head. Sadiq was right after all. He cleared his throat, as if about to talk, but that was the most noise from him in a long time.

Sadiq looked over at him again. "So which is it? Shopping first, or what? You pick. I'm going along for the ride, mostly. After you decide, we're going to finish catching up."

Gupta was caught in a corner, and he sighed in defeat. "We should... find a mosque first. And I don't need a new coat." His voice was hoarse, the sound of a man who spends his days in silence.

Sadiq smiled at him. "Okay. If you say so. You'll want one later, unless you plan on trying to get used to it all the hard way. Which is fine too."

He was quiet for a while, letting Gupta recover himself from the shock of speaking. He'd get him again later, but it's probably best to get him talking more in a staggered fashion at first.

Gupta took another moment to clear his throat again and stare down at his coat, face burying into his scarf. He nodded, his eyelids hanging heavy, making him look almost sleepy in appearance. He didn't want to admit that Sadiq was right, as the cold winter air nipped at his face, and he shivvered.

Sadiq looked over at him, realised he was shivering and sighed. Gupta was still being stubborn around him...

He took off his scarf and put it around the other. "It won't help much, but I'm not really that cold right now, so..." >.>;;

The gesture of kindness was enough to get Gupta to speak. He shook his head. "I really don't... need it. Besides, you might get colder," he said, reaching up to remove the scarf. "I don't need the charity, really."

Perhaps that comment had been too much?

"I know you don't need it," he said, looking over at his friend with a look that told him to leave it where it was. "I'll take it back when I get colder..." >.>;;;;

Gupta gave up trying to take off the scarf and return it to its original owner and he remained in silence once again, as they walked through the Irish town. It was, most definitely, a Christian country, and there didn't seem to be very sight of a mosque. He looked around, gazing in one direction, and then in another. Ireland was certainly not at all like home.

He gazed back up at Sadiq, as if to ask him if he saw anything.
