Gupta wasn't among those setting about to begin his homework, in fact he was spreading his prayer rug out onto the hallway floor to begin his prayers in the direction of mecca.

Jack watches Gupta with some curiousity as he waits for the Janitor to appear.
"G'day."
He says with a nod, not wanting to disturb him.

Gupta rose from his prayer, to acknowledge the man - who appeared to have been watching him. He nods his head in greeting, looking as disinterested and expressionless as ever.

What was that accent... Australian?

"You don talk much do ya? That's s'oright mate."
He smiles, slightly put off by how quiet this guy is since he's so use to being around Arthur and Feliciano.

Gupta shakes his head, but decides that this man's smile is friendly, certainly not someone he should be wary of. He stands up and slowly rolls up his prayer rug, head tilting, eyes blinking as if to ask, "What are you doing out in the hallway like this?"

"I...have buisness with the school Janitor."
He grins slyly, "The guy can be pretty ace sometimes but I can't help but try to mess with him. It's so fuuun."
Jack isn't the best at reading expressions and would have probably continued blatherin on even if Gupta had completely ignored him. He does find him pretty interesting though and eyes the prayer rug with curiousity.

The thing about Gupta was that he was a good listener, and if someone were to speak to him, he would listen. So listen he did, nodding his head as the young man prattled on about the janitor. He looked down at his prayer rug, having followed that curious gaze.

He tilted his head and held it out.

"Can I touch it? I'm actually pretty good with textiles and things like that, my parents own a shop that makes rugs and things. This one is really nice...a prayer rug right? Is it made from cotton or silk?"

Jack continues to chatter on looking over the material of the prayer rug, his dad had worked as a sheep shearer in his younger years and his mother who was part Aboriginal had started the store making native rugs and blankets by hand.

Gupta nods, allowing this young man to touch his prayer rug [ooc: hurk, I'm so immature.], watching him continue talking. It seemed, where he was lacking the ability to speak out and speak up, the Australian was more than capable to fill the silence with his own words.

Of course, there were questions, but he wasn't exactly certain where he could interject with a response. His was made with silk, of course, but judging from the others expertise in the matter of woven rugs, he probably already figured it out from the touch.

Gupta opens his mouth, but says nothing.
