Heracles sat kneeling on the floor, his elbows resting on the mattress of his new bed, staring at the five cats that were his constant company while he awaited a roommate for the school year. His newest kitten, Athena, was in worse shape than Achilles was when he was first injured. The poor animal had been beaten, and she had cuts and bruises all over her cuddly soft body. Not that he would cuddle her right away. She was in rough shape, and too much cuddling might hurt the animal. He smiled, as he reached his hand for the tan colored kitty. She didn't seem to have a precise breed. There was possible Siamese in her, but she seemed to be a mixed breed. His hand landed softly upon the animal's head, listening to its soft purr as Heracles's nimble fingers scratched pet the little animal in such a way a man would be jealous of.
Heracles sighed, taking a look at the other four kittens on his bed. How he hoped he could convince the stray wandering campus to come join his pile of furry friends. Phaethon was gorgeous for a stray. His fur was so bright, and so shiny. The idea of the other cat playing with his own caused Heracles to smile, fighting a bit of a very un-manly laugh. As he watched the few animals on his bed, he decided to test himself. How many cats would he have before returning home? Twelve perhaps? He had only been here for a few days and had essentially already added two more cats to his family. Twelve was going to be an understatement. He would have to get permission from an airliner on his way home for the summer to transport so many animals. Another laugh came upon the man as he reached underneath his bed, pulling out a small container of cat treats. He was about to scatter them about his bed for the cats, but decided against it. His cats were just too cute when they were sleeping.
