Maarten Van Der Meer lounged behind his desk, large enough to be useful, but not so large as to be intimidating, playing Solitaire working on things on his computer. (If it's Spirit Week, he's also dressed appropriately for whichever day you show up.) The Universal High guidance counselor glanced up at the clock and reached into his desk snack drawer for a bag of cookies.
