Ok, I have got to start writing down the stupid things that she (my boss) yells at me for, so here goes Today, she called me up and yelled at me, because there was a meeting on her calendar that she didn't know was there, then she told me that she prints out her calendar for the coming week on Friday and doesn't look at her calendar each day. I tried to tell her that her calendar changes on a daily basis, she said it does not, I didn't say anything at first because I was upset, then a few seconds later, I told her that I felt that Her calendar did change on a daily basis. So she told me that when I change her calendar, from now on, I am to notify her. Bottom line, I got yelled at because she doesn't check her calendar, or her e-mails. How you ask did the e-mails get in on this, when I make a change to her calendar, it automatically generates an e-mail appointment to her. So there for she didn't check either one.
The beginning of last week March 21 I got yelled at because there was a meeting on Tuesday that she didn't know about, (the meeting was booked in January and is a standing meeting, the 4th Tuesday of every month), She had printed off her calendar for march 22 on march 17th and it didn't show the meeting, I tried to tell her the meeting was there, and had been since January, but I didn't know why it didn't show up on the printed copy, bottom line she printed her calendar with one of the filters on and it blocked the meeting. but this was my fault.
On Wednesday I was to meet with her at 10:30am, She was not out of her prior meeting, so I was working on moving the offices of 2 people that were having their offices switched, (yes this was also a directive from my boss) I had housekeeping, IS, Phones and B & G up there and we had furniture moving, computer, phones, pictures etc, going every which way. She comes walking down the hall with one of the Vice Presidents from her meeting it is now 10:50 (The clock was between where I was an where she was. She looked at me and said we are to meet at 10:30 so I said I'll go get my pad, when I got back she was talking to one of the people that I was moving, and someone asked me to contact someone about the move I made a quick call from one of the office phone right there, and when I hung up, She yelled at me that her 11am appointment was already there an that I had missed our meeting and that I had to be more attentive. bottom line, I got yelled at because she came out of a meeting late and then she stopped to talk to the people that were being moved. And we didn't meet so this was my fault.
There are times that I think that all the people that work there are nuts. I was to arrange a telephone conference call, to do this you send the appointment, with all corresponding numbers, put in the request to the telecommunications department, get verification that the meeting is on the schedule. and you should be done except of course for minutes, agenda and handouts for that meeting. but for the phone part you should be done. I believe it or not got yelled at because, I could not verify that the phone would be set up. The head of that dept. was on vacation, when I found that out I tried to contact him, but the operator would not give me a pager number, would not page him to my number, and would not contact him and ask him to call me.This was the point that I got yelled at by someone for not being to verify and was told that if the phone was not in the meeting the next day it was my fault. (I don't get it, I did everything I should and then some) I finely sent him an email and he responded and he had everything set up for me as he had said he would. I am truly thinking that just working there makes you crazy.
Now I know that this is very interesting, but I have decided that I need to start writing these things down. She is going to go on a vacation for 2 weeks (which she had me book all the flights for) (some people around here think it is bad that she has me doing her personal stuff, she has since the day she started, personally, if I booked her flights, I know she's leaving) I can't wait, I am sure that while she is gone even a bad day is going to be good in comparison.
Thanks for listening to me babble.
Hugs
