Haven't seen anyone burst out into song, but people do sing when they see fit.

Welcome to Luceti.

Huh. What do you know, it talks back to anyone who as something to say on these pages. Enchanted then, I'd wager.

Luceti. Right, because that's supposed to mean something to me. You're going to have to be a bit more specific.

Enchanted? More than likely. I really have no clue how this technology works, but this place does have magic, so it's possible.

Well, Luceti is the place you're in now, of course. I'm afraid you're no longer in your own world, but you've been taken somewhere entirely different. It sounds crazy, but the wings and the little tattoo they give you on your neck are a bit of a giveaway. We're trapped here, I'm afraid, as their experiments.

This isn't technology. Machines, gizmos and wires don't do these sorts of things. This is a whammy. One hell of a whammy, but a definite whammy of some sort.

Gathered that much with my own eyes, thanks. Allow me to rephrase: where the bloody hell is Luceti?

"Whammy"? And if that's true, then I guess this is magic then. I'm not very well versed in either.

That, none of us can tell you. It's this world, separate and cut off completely from the ones we're from. If you're asking for its position in the universe, I can't tell you. I only realized we could come from different planets and dimensions since coming here.

Whammy. Spell, hex, casting? Magic, in the long run. Not really well-versed myself, but versed enough to know magic when I see it.

Oh, that's just great. Looks like I'm off-to-find-answers land once the sun goes down.

Better than me at least. I've never been good at supernatural things.

Well, you could do that, or I could show you the Guide. Which would you prefer?

[ he's laughing here, but of course, it can't be heard. ]

I am a supernatural thing. Be sort of hypocritical of me to deny the existence of it in other things, now would it?

A guide. There's a guide? Send away. Couldn't hurt to take a gander.

...oh. Are you a ghost? Or a spirit of some sort?

And yes. It's here.

Former ghost. But, a vampire at present.

Thanks.

A vampire?

That's what I said now, ain't it?

What kind?

What kind? Well, I sure as hell ain't a Turow--Turon--Tur-- Ubervamp, that's for sure. Unless you're familiar with the ensouled two category, then I suppose I'm a regular vampire.

Well, there's the kind I've heard of in Western legends since coming here and there's the kind that Derek-san told me about, and there's other kinds, too.

[ that noise is him fiddling with the book a bit until he's got it to do the video feed thing that the guide told him about. ]

Right. Now, don't freak out, because I'm about to do something. Vampires in my world, we look like this--
