You know, our loved ones never truly leave us, even when they've gone somewhere we cannot follow. I think she'd be proud of the work you have done so far, helping to build Orlando's body and all that.

That's a noble thing. But I've done some things... don't even know if she could forgive me for them. It's so hard to remember, the arms might've been controlling me then, but sometimes I think they weren't. Not so excusable then, is it?

I've ... done some things in my life I'm not exactly proud of either. We all make mistakes, but as long as you truly feel sorry for what you've done and do your best to make up for them, then anyone is worthy of forgiveness.

I wouldn't call it a mistake.

What did you do?

We... I made another fusion reactor. A larger one. That takes planning, forethought. We methodically stole and killed and terrorized, to get what we needed.

I don't remember everything, but... there's no way the arms could've done all that for me.

I ... heard about that from someone on the comm. But that's in the past and you've learned from your mistakes. I have no doubt that you won't do something that dangerous ever again.

Do you think the kids were somehow linked to your subconscious? That they merely removed the inhibitions that normally keep good people from doing bad things? Anyone can fall prey to temptation, Otto. We're only human.

...Sometimes scientific breakthroughs are worth the danger. Sometimes they save more lives than they might take.

I shouldnt've been so weak. It's disgusting. On some level... I wanted to do it.

Maybe. I don't know. I don't pretend to be smart or to understand the risks involved with any scientific endeavor. I was just a soldier trained to follow orders, to kill when necessary. And yet ... I've never taken a human life. Strange, isn't it?

But it's because of our inherent weaknesses which can make humans stronger. The desire to persevere, to better ourselves and overcome our flaws, that takes a great deal of inner strength. And ... I think you have that. You're becoming a different person from the one you used to be, a kinder and wiser person. You're certainly different from the man that I first met a month ago!
