The lab was abuzz with activity... even if Otto was the only one in there. Each of his tentacles were occupied with different tasks; one was monitoring lines of code, checking for and repairing errors, two were in the process of assembling legs, and one was adding yet another CPU to the room's growing computer cluster. Otto himself was busy threading sensory wires through the structure of the body's arms. He squinted into the large magnifier he had placed on the workbench.

He heard voices in the other room and knew the others had returned, but continued to work. One of the arms drew back and peeped through the door.
