Its incredibly weird how when something rare happens, it happens multiple times. In the last week, I've reconnected with at least four people from my past I haven't seen in AGES. It was a nice feeling, but it also makes me wonder "What if?" in regards to one of them.
The one in question is no longer dating the crazy chick he was seeing when I last saw him, and I suggested we grab beers. He suggested we grab breakfast. I think we should grab beers one night and breakfast the next morning, but we'll see with that one. But it was so good to see him, hug him, and talk to him. He gave me two of the best hugs I've ever had today. Man, I miss him. I miss having someone to bitch to who listens and actually can understand where I'm coming from. I hope he calls me like he said he would. The weird thing with him was that the chick he was seeing wouldn't let him talk to anyone, especially females; hence his disappearance for eight months. So today when I saw him, he asked if I would still be his friend. That was sweet and endearing. Almost cute. I'll stop now.
So, work has been rough lately. I managed to coerce one of our execs to do my overnight Wednesday, so I have Wed-Sun off. Thank. God. Death. Much much death would have happened.
