[So, in case you didn't know, Lily died. Tragic, eh? As I'm sure you know, when people die, they come back with temporary amnesia. Lily is not exempt from this phenomenon. She wakes up in her cell, confused and alone. Not scared - just confused. It takes a little while to get herself oriented. When she does, she jumps up and rummages through the ( Read more... )

[Fenris is in the armory when the girl wanders in. He hadn't yet met her and as such, had no idea that she was the Lily that he'd seen reported dead recently.]

[She's just a child in the armory. Which, really, is out of place enough on its own.]

...Are you lost?

[Lily looks up from where she's running her hands over a broadsword. A memory has surfaced a little earlier that tells her she loves weapons. They're so cool!]

Me? No, not really! I'm exploring!

[She picks up the broadsword. This thing is lighter than it looks!

(The whole super strength memory hasn't come back yet.)]

Look how cool this sword is, do you see? Man, I love swords! Do you like swords? What's your name? Do you live here? Am I asking too many questions?

[Both eyebrows go up when she hefts the sword like it's no big thing. Alright, well, credit where credit is due he supposes...]

[...all the questions are kind of dizzying though. Maker, not even Varric yammered on like that.]

Perhaps.. not so many all at once. My name is Fenris. Do you... know how to use that?

['Cause he's a little leery of coming any closer before he gets that Very Important Piece of Information, thanks.]

[When she's back to normal she won't talk as much. As much.]

Yeah, of course I do! Apparently! [Experimental swing!] I can use allll of this stuff. Well, most of it! Some of these things I'd never seen before I got here! But they're not so hard to use. Like, morning stars! You just kind of swing them around! They're not complicated like bows and stuff. Also, I'm Lily. It's nice to meet you!

[He can feel his eyes crossing just listening to all of this. Nevermind the swinging broadsword in the hands of a girl who looked like she weights less than the weapon itself.]

I'm sure it's nice to meet you too, Lily. You can't just "swing them around"- you'll hurt yourself. Or someone else.

Well, duh! You have to be careful with the swinging. But, see, they're weapons like clubs! So there really isn't too much technique. [Lily puts down the broadsword.] Except the once with the chains. I've got no idea how to use those.

[Maces but not flails. Good to know.]

[Fine. He gestures back to the sword she just set aside.]

If you know how to use it, then show me. Pick it back up.

What? Oh, sure.

[Lily picks up the broadsword. Her grip and stance are correct! Oh, neat! Lily doesn't know why she can do all this, but it's really cool!]

It's no big deal, really! Just a sword. [Experimental swing!] Nothing to it.

[He pays attention this time. She does seem to know what she's doing... Fenris hefts up the two-handed greatsword he'd been inspecting earlier and gestures towards the open lawn back through the main doors.]

Prove it. Outside.

((OOC: let me know if this isn't okay or whatever. I don't want to be, like, randomly foisting combat on people if it's not cool.))
