Uniquinum is feeling mixed about "Torchwood: Miracle Day".

As a long time Torchwood fan I miss Tosh, Owen and Ianto.  They were awesome characters and with Tosh and Owen being killed at the end of season 2 and then Ianto in "Children of Earth" I'm finding the new team members a little lacking.

Miracle day is well acted, well written and well executed but it's just missing a little something that the first three seasons had.  I think part of it is the cinematography and editing is done in a 'classic' USA style where as the previous were British to the core.

Also while the writing is fantastic (anything that Jane Espenson is involved in is) there is a core Britishness in the humor that has not fully translated over.  I understand that they're trying to expose the show to a wider American audience but for a person who's television watching tastes run along either British comedy or Sci-Fi I'm finding it hard to reconcile that a favourite show of mine has been changed so dramatically.
