Okay, so what's the new trend of all the African-Americans here wearing their backpacks on the front of their bodies? I don't get it. Its called a backpack for a reason. You use your back for support, not your stomach. Can someone please explain this phenomenon to me

being politically correct, while seemingly overrated, is actually a way of making sure we don't accidentally stir a pot we didn't mean to disturb. the reason PC exists is because language shapes our thinking. if you say something enough, it becomes what you think and how you act. being overly careful about not stepping on anyone's toes is one thing, but making sure you don't make ridiculous generalizations that negatively shape your worldview is something else altogether.
