the death-mobile strikes again.....
So....after a long weekend home, I was supposed to be back in GR already. but it's Tuesday morning, and instead of working in the lab, I'm sitting at my computer.....waiting for my car to be fixed because there is a leak in one of the hoses. great.
funny thing is, it started leaking the same day mom told that she knew someone who was selling a used Saturn for cheap. We went and looked at it, and it's a cute car, but it does need a bit of work. nothing major (except for new brakes), though mom thought the transmission felt funny. But other than that, it should be fine. And Saturns have the reputation of being good dependable cars that last a long-ass time and have good gas mileage (anyone want to share their experience?). Thing is, I don't really see the point in spending money on a new car (that needs work, mind you) when I already have a car that works well (once the leak is fixed today). Especially since I've already put a lot of work and money in that thing (new radiator, new muffler, new tires, new fan motor...).
So yeah.
other than car troubles though, things are going pretty well. I'm not going to lie, I loved having an excuse to stay home longer and hang out with people last night. I miss everyone. And I still haven't seen some of my friends yet this summer, which makes me sad. but being as how I'm in GR and they're probably just as busy as me (if not moreso), then it's hard to fix (until I come back July 20).
So if you are one of the people I have not hung out with yet, I apologize, and I will see you sometime soon.
Other than that....I hope to be doing a lot of swing dancing this week :)
