The comic from St. Paul, Minn., used a stoner persona to deliver
subtle, wry observational comedy. He made frequent appearances on
late-night TV shows. He was shy and battled stage fright, and was once
arrested for heroin possession. His death at 37 was reportedly due to
heart failure."
He's dead. My favorite comic, hands-down, died of heart failure
just the other day. He will be sorely missed by millions I'm sure
but we'll never forget that "if fish could scream the ocean would be
loud and shit" or that "[his] mailman was a drug dealer and he didn't
even know it." Rest in peace you beautiful bastard.
